Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than twenty years. The current president is and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a California native, and was raised by a well-off family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon, and later the owner of Lakers and other enterprises. When her parents broke up in 1972 she felt that they had abandoned her. In the year 19 she was appointed the general manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. Then she created her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She was the president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming vice-president for the Lakers. Buss, her five siblings and brothers as well as their father who was the owner of the Lakers and controlled them until the time of his death in 2013, inherited this ownership through a trust. Each of them had equally vote rights. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-founder of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion that is based in Los Angeles.
